BHV Connect covers technology design for wireless solutions for connectivity, telemetry and remote control.

The world relies on wireless connectivity. Our Connect portfolio includes remote control, WAN network connectivity and RFID. Our expertise with wireless ensures delivery of functional, reliable solutions meeting the highest levels of product compliance. Connect designs cover:

  • 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G MIMO connectivity solutions supporting TCPIP and UDPIP

  • BLE – Bluetooth 5.0

  • ISAM telemetry & remote control for handheld devices

  • RAIN compliant UHF RFID meeting GS1 specifications for RFID barcode

  • BHV offer two options for RF remote control applications. Bluetooth 5.0 (BLE) and 868/915Mhz ISAM. Implementations can range from simple button command through to variable controls and full bi-directional protocol communication.

Antennas can be integrated or external and dictate range accordingly. We can advise on optimum radio frequency choices to suite proposed control target and operating environment.

  • We can offer solutions built around popular modules from a range of suppliers, these include M.2 and PCMCIA interface modules and direct PCB fit LGA form factor devices. LTE Cat 12 giving a maximum down of 600Mb/s and uplink of 150Mb/s carrier and terrain dependent.

5G technology offer’s 3G and 4G fallback and supports both sub-6Ghz and mmWave air interface. Stunning performance maximums of 4.5 Gb/s downlink and 2.9Gb/s uplink carrier and terrain dependent.

  • The RAIN standard for UHF Radio Frequency Identification is proving an effective standard for tracking and stock control. Adopted by GS the body responsible for consumer product barcodes, RAIN is fast becoming the de facto standard for RFID “barcodes” and has been mandated by regulatory bodies in several supply industries including pharmaceuticals.

BHV can offer high performance UHF RFID interrogator technology conforming to the RAIN/GS1 UHF Gen2 protocol which ISO/IEC has standardized as 18000-63.

Outputting up to 30dbm (1 watt) of RF energy in the 840-960 Mhz range the technology is configurable to meet any global standard for UHF RFID with spectrum management features including fixed, cyclical and frequency hopping modes. Templates for many ITU regions are easily selectable.

Switchable 1 to 4 multiplexed antenna modes provides effective tag read areas while reading passive RFID labels at distances up to 13 metres (antenna dependent).
